Property Fitting-Out
If you opt for an unfurnished rental, or you purchase a new home or investment property which requires furniture, we offer a 'fitting out' service to completely furnish your property based on your brief and budget.
For investors, this means that once they have purchased their property, they do not need to worry about returning to South Africa to organise the property for occupation.
For clients who have bought a holiday home, or a new home to move into permanently, they can rest-assured that the property will have been furnished with either the basics to allow immediate use, or the entire collection of furnishings, in line with their arrival dates.
Vacant Property Management
If you purchase a holiday home, and decide not to rent it out whilst you are back home, you may want the re-assurance that it is being properly managed in your absence. Regular security checks, someone on call if the alarm goes off, someone to organise and check on the gardening service and pool maintenance service, as well as a key holder and a point of contact for any problems which may arise whilst you are overseas.
Not only that, but our service also includes an arrival and departure package which ensures that the house is cleaned and made ready including a stocked fridge for your arrival, and is thoroughly cleaned, checked and locked up when you leave.

Re-Furbishing your New Property
Some properties need work. We have a full time project manager who can oversee any cosmetic upgrades you are planning for your new home whilst you are not in Cape Town. Past work for clients has included new wooden flooring, total re-painting of interior and exterior, new tap ware, sourcing and fitting blinds and curtains, fitting of air-conditioning units and under-floor heating, re-varnishing of sun decks, garden overhauls, thorough cleans, curtain cleaning, alarm fitting, sourcing of white goods, dealing with plumbers and electricians as required etc. etc. Our service is chargeable on an hourly rate using tried and trusted third parties and achieving discounts for the clients wherever possible.
Finding you a Tenant and Managing your Property
If you purchase your property through Space, we will advise you on the best managing agent for your particular location, ensuring that you get a good, reliable service at a competitive price. We are finding an increasing number of clients asking us to handle their homes once they have taken ownership. As a result, we now offer a finding a tenant service and property management service. Our service to find you a tenant is charged at 8.5% plus VAT of the value of the lease and this includes check-in of your new tenant and full inventory compilation.
